We had another busy weekend! Saturday we went to Bunker Hill Regional Park for a family reunion. It was a hot day but we still had a blast hanging with family. Colton really enjoyed the games more than anything - he entered the wheel barrow races with Auntie Marissa, the Egg Toss with Grandma Lori and of course participated in the tug of war with his cousins! He even got a gold medal for winning the tug of war, he is very proud of this plastic piece of gold!! Saturday night we watched my friends little girl overnight. It was so much fun to have a toddler in the house again and Colton played so good with her - although he did get annoyed when she kepting pulling all the DVD's off the shelf and throwing them all around the living room. Sunday I went to a bridal shower for one of my girl friends. It was great to spend the afternoon with friends, I haven't see them in forever (being sick most of June and July didn't help)! Lisa I can't wait for your wedding, it is gonna be here before we know it!! Then tonight I had a Dr appointment and Frankie and Colton both came with me to hear the heartbeat! The baby was very active tonight and Dr was having a hard time keeping track of him/her but eventually the baby took a little break from his/her aerobis and we were able to hear the heartbeat! The baby had a heart rate of 140 tonight. I have also been starting to feel the baby move around already, I felt the first movements last Wednesday at 16 weeks 4 days and then of course didn't feel anything until today! I felt the baby moving around quite a bit tonight - it is the most amazing feeling ever!!

Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes their way.

Washington County Fair
Colton and I went to the Washington County Fair this morning with Uncle Brad, Auntie Marissa and Pop Pop! It was way too hot to be going anywhere but I had already promised Colton we would go see Pig Races so away we went. We got to the fair at about 10:30 (it was already about 80 degrees at this time). We started by walking through the exhibit buildings where Colton built a bird house at the Home Depot Kids Workshop and then it was off to the animal barns! Colton loves petting all the farm animals. Then after some Hawaiian Shaved Ice it was time for a Camel Ride, Colton thought he was a big shot riding it all by himself. Then we headed over the Llama Competitions (my favorite)! If you have never seen a Llama jump through a Hula Hoop you need to check it out, interesting to say the least! Next was on to lunch - Pronto Pups and Cheese Burgers and then we went to get our seats for the pig races. It was now 12:30 and well into the 90's and so humid we were all dripping. The pig races were totally worth the heat but once they were over we decided we had had enough of this heatwave and headed back home where Colton and I both took nice long naps in the comfort of our air conditioning!!

Oh Loon Lake - how we have missed you!!
Colton and I went to the lake with my sister and my dad this past weekend. We have not been there since Memorial weekend because I was so sick most of June and July. It was so nice to just relax for an entire weekend. Colton spent most of his time in the water, I swear he is gonna turn into a fish one of these days! I spent most of my time relaxing on the swing watching him swim and the rest of my time snacking on cheese and crackers!! It was a seriously laid back weekend, which was exactly what I have been needing lately!
I am starting to feel much better these days as you probably guessed! I still have some nausea later in the evening but I usually just go to bed and by morning it is gone. Now if I could just get some energy back and stop peeing every hour I would be good to go!! I forgot how much being pregnant wears on your body - oh well it will all be worth it in 5 1/2 months!

It's only gonna get better!
5 Weeks 2 Days Pregnant- went to the Dr to confirm pregnancy
6 Weeks 2 Days Pregnant- went to the Dr to receive IV Fluids and find out that I had already lost 10 pounds - scary to lose that much in a week
7 Weeks 5 Days Pregnant - Back to the Dr to receive IV Fluids and down another 6 pounds
9 Weeks 3 Days Pregnant - Back to the Dr for IV Fluids and down another 3 Pounds
10 Weeks 5 Day Pregnant - Back to the Dr for IV Fluids and down another 4 pounds
Today I am 12 weeks along, finally into the 2nd Trimester and really hoping things take a turn for the better soon. I am down 23 pounds since I found out I was pregnant which any other time I would be so happy about but it terrifies me that the baby isn't getting what it needs to develop with me so sick. My doctor assured me the baby is fine, I am taking the brunt of the abuse. I go the Doctor on Monday for my first regular OB appointment and I am really looking forward to hearing the baby's heartbeat, just a little assurance that everything is okay.
We are very excited to add another baby to our family. Colton is so excited to be a big brother, he asks almost daily if the baby is here yet. We also decided the baby needed a nickname so we weren't saying he or she all the time and Colton said the baby's name is "Bubblemaker" so that is what we are going with for now. Also I don't think we are gonna find out the sex of the baby this time around. This will be our last baby (I am not going through this again) and I think a surprise would be so much fun - but I said that last time and gave in so who knows if I will be able to hold out until Jan 30th to find out (which is my due date)! I think that is all I have to update for now, but I am sure there will be plenty of baby updates over the next 6 months as we prepare for our new little bundle of joy to arrive!!

Colton's 4th Birthday Party
I know these pictures are late hitting the blog but the last couple weeks haven't been real nice to me. Colton had so much fun at his Monster Truck Birthday Party and received all kinds of awesome presents. Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate his 4th birthday (even though I still can't believe my baby is 4 already, where has the time gone?). Happy Birthday Little Man!

Escape to paradise!
One of my favorite places to spend my free days is at Afton State Park! The place is absolutely beautiful! Colton and I love to take Sampson for long hikes on the trails and then stop down by the river to rest, take a dip, enjoy some lunch and of course take some pictures. It is such a quiet state park (espcially during the week)! Last week MaryBeth joined us on our escape to paradise. It was so much fun and I got some wonderful photos!

Time doesn't matter - I am alive!
Well I attempted my very first 5K this morning and to my surprise I finished!! Both my sisters, our friend Tanya and one of my sisters co-workers ran the race today as well! I decided to run the race about 2 months ago so I had plenty of time to train and prepare but guess how many times I went running prior to today - yup ZERO!! So I was not at all prepared for this. I was quite nervous this morning, thought I might just collapse mid race but I didn't need medical attention and I crossed the finish line unassisted and with a time that I am okay with - I finished in 41:20. Not a fast time by any means but I don't care. Congrats to both my sisters who finished before me - now I have something to work towards. I don't think I will be running another one in the next month or two but I am hoping to run another one in the fall (when it is cool again and I have done a little training)!! Anyways, race is complete and my legs are sore but there is no time for rest because we are planting our garden today. We start the seeds almost 2 months ago and they really need to be put in the garden because they are getting way to big to be in my bay window!

Ready for summer to arrive!
This past weekend Colton and I headed to the lake with my mother-in-law to get the place all opened up and ready for summer! It was a cold and rainy weekend but we still managed to get everything done that we needed to. We put the roof on the screen porch, bought the patio furniture and got it put together (and if I never see an allen wrench again I will be okay with that), and did some exploring of the campground and playground - Colton's favorite place to be!! We had a great weekend at the lake and now we are ready for summer to be here so we can spend lots of weekends up there (and at my parent's place) swimming and making food on the campfire - I love this time of year!
