Birthday Party Weekend

Last Weekend was filled with Birthday Celebrations. We spent Saturday celebrating my Godson Jaxx's 3rd Birthday. It was a hot and humid day but thankfully Freddie and Melissa were thinking ahead and rented an inflatable water slide! The kids played on that thing for hours... stopping only to open presents and eat cake! It was a great time, although I still can't believe my beautiful Godson is already 3 - he is growing up way too fast! Happy 3rd Birthday Jaxx!

Sunday was another birthday party and thankfully it was another pool party because the temperature rose to the mid 90's! Landon is my sister's boyfriend's youngest son (did you follow me there?). He is only 2 weeks younger than Colton and they have quickly become great buddies! I am pretty sure Colton's favorite part of the party was the giant in ground swimming pool with a diving board!! It only took convincing him once to jump off the diving board and after that we couldn't' get him to stop! Happy 5th Birthday Landon, we had a great time at your party.

Maple Grove Days Parade

The boys and I walked in the Maple Grove Days Parade a couple weeks back! It was the perfect night for a parade, overcast, slight breeze and not 90+ degrees like most of the days this month have been. We walked with The Hartford and we had a great time. Mason slept most of the parade (I had him in the Baby Bjorn Carrier) while Colton handed out candy and Jr Fire Marshall hats to all the kids along the parade route. The boys also loved meeting Larry the Stag, the mascot for the Hartford. Mason just starred at him, although you can't blame him becuase Larry stands about 7 feet tall! The parade was quite possibly the longest parade ever, taking almost 2 hours from start to finish but none the less we had fun and can't wait to do it again!

Splish Splash

We decided to treat ourselves this year and we bought a pool!! It was quite the nightmare to get it set up but now that it is we are in love! Colton swims for an hour almost every night. He is going to turn into a fish I swear. Mason even loves the pool and nights when Colton and Daddy go in and he has to hang out with Mommy he gets a little mad!

The Fourth of July

We spent the holiday weekend at the lake with my family. The only thing that could have made it better is if Frankie would have been able to join us (but I know he can't have every weekend off). We spent the weekend swimming, eating, playing Bingo, riding bikes, partaking in Blind Canoe Races, going for paddle boat rides, watching fire works, playing with sparklers, catching frogs and enjoying each other's company. The weather was perfect everyday.... seriously couldn't have asked for any better. I could keep talking about it but I will let my pictures do the talking instead. I had a very hard time deciding which ones to post (I took over 300 pictures in three days)!

Weekend at the Lake

Well things have been crazy - I guess that must means it is finally Summertime! We spent 5 days up at the lake in the end of June. We had a great time exploring the Brainard Lake area a little bit. We went mini-golfing, fishing, swimming, made lots of food over the campfire, go-carting, spent a day at Paul Bunyan Land and did lots of relaxing. It was so much fun to take Colton to Paul Bunyan Land as I remember going there every summer when I was little. They even had the crazy upside down dog by Paul Bunyan and I had to get a picture of my boys on it as I have pictures of me and my siblings on it from about 20 years ago! So many good memories.
