Bachlorette Party!

We had Marissa's Bachlorette party this last weekend and it was so much fun. We started at Tanya's house in Woodbury by having some drinks, cupcakes and opening gifts! Then the Excursion Limo arrived to take us to our hotel in downtown Minneapolis. We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in the Penthouse suite! It had a full kitchen and livingroom, two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with a Jacuzzi Tub)!! We hung out in the room for a while and then headed to dinner at Hell's Kitchen! After dinner we went back to the hotel to have a few drinks (free drinks in the room are always better than $9 drinks at the bar). Eventually we headed out to the bar, we landed at the Shout House (a dualing paino bar) for the night. We had a blast. We got back to the hotel around 1:30am and stayed awake talking and laughing until 4:15 in the morning! The limo picked us up at the hotel the next morning to take us back home. Now only 3 weeks until the big day... it is coming up so fast!

Cascade Bay Waterpark!

Last Thursday Colton and I spent our day off at the waterpark with Uncle Brad! We had so much fun, we swam for hours and played on the waterslide! They also have some big water slides but Colton was too short for those and they have a lazy river but we never made it on there, Colton is too impatient to just sit and float!

Marissa's Bridal Shower

We had Marissa's Bridal Shower on Sunday! It was so much fun. We had lots of women laughing, drinking punch and being overly competive with the shower games! Less than a month until the wedding date, it is gonna be here before we know it and I still need to get alterations done on my Bridesmaid dress. I guess I should really get going on that! Here are just a few pics from the shower!

4th of July - The Park - Overwhelming Garden!

Of course like I start every post life has been crazy lately. We spent the 4th of July Holiday weekend at the lake! We had so much fun. We spent lots of time swimming, grilling, riding the golf cart, watching fireworks and of course laughing! Here are just a few pics from the weekend:

This last Saturday I watched my three youngest cousins and my one of my cousin's. Colton loved having all the extra kids at the house - even if they were all girls! We went for a nice long walk in the morning to 3 different parks. Then we came back home to eat lunch and of course everyone wanted something different so we made chicken nuggets, corndogs, tator tots, french fries and mac and cheese! I realize that cooking for only one kid is much easier. After lunch we headed out to the backyard for some water fun. We had both pools set up as well as the slip n slide! Colton and Emily were worn out after about an hour and were in their beds napping while the older three girls enjoyed some more time in the sun. It was so much fun to have all the kids here and I hope we can do it again soon!

And here is an update on my garden - HELP! I walked out to the garden late last weekend and become totally overwhelmed! Everything is growing like crazy (including the weeeds). I didn't realize what I was getting myself into until recently. But after some help from Frankie and my cousin Chris we have the garden back under control and we are already harvesting some good food. We picked the first round of green beans, some onions and we already have cucumbers coming in the house at a steady rate! Colton loves to help in the garden, although he is not a fan of the little spikes that are all over the cucumbers!! Our pumpkins are also flowering now so I have been out there daily helping with the pollination process, due to the lack of bumble bees we have to do some of the pollination by hand (who knew)!

This weekend is my sisters Bridal shower. Less than one month until the wedding. I still a can't believe my little sister is getting married, it seems like she is too young and yet she is 3 years older than I was when I got married! Makes me feel so grown up and I am not sure I like it!

We are always up to something!

On Thursday we went to the Edinborough Indoor Park with Melissa, Eva, Isaac and Jaxx! Colton had so much fun playing with his cousins, and I must admit I had a great time too! Melissa and I crawled up into the tunnels and went down the slides too, it is nice to be a kid again sometimes!
On Friday night my cousin Sheila and her 4 month old son Jonathan came into town. Colton was so excited to have a baby in the house. He helped me set up his pack 'n play for the baby and he even gave up his Nemo blanket for Jonathan to use. He was such a helper with the baby and he even told me this morning that he wants his own baby! Now if only we could find a way to afford to have another one (daycare is just so expensive)!! Saturday monring we went to the Farmers Market in St Paul with Grandma Yvonne! Colton thought this was pretty cool and has been asking to go the market again all day today!
Today Colton convinced me to set up his slip 'n slide! He really didn't understand how to use it but he still had a great time! If anyone wants to come over and demonstrate how to actually use a slip and slide let me know and we will pick a date!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Colton!

I still can't believe that Colton is 3 years old, it seems like just yesterday I told Frankie we were pregnant and we both looked at each other as to say "How in the world are we gonna raise a child"? Now here we are 3 years later and our baby has turned into such an amazing little man who we just can't get enough of. There are many days I just sit and watch Colton with complete amazement and love, I just can't imagine my life without him.

We celebrated his birthday on Sunday with our family and friends. This birthday was extra special because Colton's Great Grandparents were in town from Las Vegas. We miss them so much and it was very hard to say goodbye to them at the end of the party. Everyone was more than generous with the gifts. Colton received lots of cool toys, awesome outfits and even some money for his college fund. We had so much fun celebrating his birthday and we want to say Thank You to everyone who joined us. Tonight we went to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday dinner. He loves that place and I have to admit I was super excited all day knowing that we were heading there tonight! I think I might be a 5 year old trapped in a 28 year old body. Anyways, I will leave you with some pictures from his party, thanks again to everyone for making his birthday an extra special one. I love you Colton and Happy Birthday!

Here comes your Daily Dose of Laughter!

Everytime I watch this video I laugh! I am not sure which is better Colton's Laugh or my brother on the couch totally entertaining himself by trying to "trip the tunnel"!!
