4 Months Old

My little man turned 4 months old on Thursday - seriously how did that go by so fast? He had his 4 month check up, weighing in at 14 lbs 10 ounces and measuring 26 inches long! He is growing like crazy. We did have the doctor look at his head as it seems to be pretty flat in the back and she agreed so we are seeing a specialist at Children's Hopsital in St Paul on Monday for Plagiocephaly. Hopefully it is nothing major and after a little physical therapy he will be good to go. Other than minor flat spot he is healthy and developing great. He is always talking now, grabbing and holding toys, he has discovered his feet, he loves bathtime and he has learned how to roll over (from tummy to back)! He always liked tummytime but now as soon as you put him on his tummy his flips over onto his back (which is not helping the flat head)!! We also tried rice cereal but he wasn't a big fan so no rush, we will try again in a week or two... he is gaining weight and sleeping through the night without it so there really is no rush. It is so much fun watching him grow but at the same time I don't want it to go so fast, I just want to soak in every second of every moment!!

Finally.... Spring has Sprung!

We spent the weekend at the lake with Grandma Yvonne and despite the clouds and rain we had a great time! Now that we have spent a weekend "camping" it feels like winter is truly over. The clouds even broke and sun came out for a while Saturday afternoon and we were able to take in a little boat ride and some fishing and then relax around a bonfire that night! Mason seemed indifferent about his first boat ride and wasn't a big fan of his life jacket but the bonfire he loved, he was mesmerized by the flames!

We got home yesterday afternoon and spent the rest the night just relaxing! Colton loves playing with Mason and now that Mason can actually interact a little bit he wants to show him how to use all his toys!! Colton is a great big brother and quite the helper for me as well, not sure how I would get through some days without him! We even dug out the Bouncy Car for Mason - I thought he was still too little to enjoy it but he proved me wrong! He loved sitting in there looking at all the bright colors and Colton of course was always near by to keep pushing buttons and making it light up and play music! All in all it was a great Mother's Day Weekend... I have the most amazing little guys in my life and that is all I need!
