First Haircut

I finally accepted the fact that my baby is growing up and that he was starting to look like an abandoned child with his wild rats nest of a hair do so tonight Mason got his first haircut.  His auntie MaryBeth gave him his first haircut at our house which I think made him a lot less nervous, actually he didn't seem to mind at all!  She did leave a few of his curls on top but the mess in the back is now gone and he looks very cute!

I would say he is much more presentable now (although the messy curls were kinda cute)!  My baby is growing up so fast - I wish I could freeze time for a while!

Hmmmm.... maybe we should feed him!

We spend most of our nights hanging out in the basement... the boys have all the toys they could ever want down there and we can close off the doors and I don't have to worry about Mason climbing up or falling down the stairs!  This is the time I usually get to work on the computer or maybe even get to watch one of my TV shows.  Well the other night we were watching TV when we realized Mason was pretty quite... I found him in the corner playing with the kitchen set which is his favorite toy right now and he obviously was starving as he had fixed himself a snack!

Frankie's TV Debut

To Quote one of my youngest cousins (well second cousin), "Colton's Dad is a Movie Star"!

That's right, Frankie made his television debut this past Saturday morning.  He was on Kare 11 Saturday Morning with Belinda Jensen.  He was quite nervous on his way to the taping but once he got into their kitchen he did what comes natural to him... Cooking!!  The boys and I were cuddled up on the couch waiting for Daddy to be on TV and soon as his segment started Mason yelled out "Daddy" and then just starred at the TV with a confused look on his face.  Colton was just as excited to see his daddy on TV, however he had already waited an entire hour for Daddy as we started watching at 8am to make sure we didn't miss it and so by 9am he was ready to be done with the news (he really hates when we watch the news and I had just made it watch it for an hour)!  Anways, here is a link the video clip via Kare11.com.  Feel free to leave a comment for my Celebrity Husband, I will be sure he reads them!

My Little Hoopster

Colton just finished his first Basketball Clinic and I couldn't be more proud!  Of course coming from a family were basketball was a big part of our lives (I played in High School and my little brother played from 2nd Grade into College) I always hoped my kids would play basketball and this last month I was able to live that dream and to make it even better Colton enjoyed it!  I always said I wouldn't push my kids to play sports that they didn't want to play so when he enjoyed himself I was beaming ear to ear!  And to make his first Basketball Clinic even more special I was able to be a coach and help the kids with their drills.  We both had a lot of fun and can't believe the clinic is already over (we practiced every Tuesday and Thursday in January).  The last night of the clinic the gave all the kids their very own basketball which they got to keep - I have never seen 50+ Kindergartners get that excited.  Of course being as I was coaching I didn't get to take many pictures but I did snap a few while the kids were warming up on the last day, I am so proud of my little hoopster!

It's Official - we have a walker!!

Mason has been walking along furniture for months but had no desire to do anything else.   We have been trying to get him to walk but with every attempt he would take 1-2 steps and then sit down and start crawling.  He just didn't want to do it so we stopped pushing it.  Well Saturday night that all changed.  Frankie put him down in the middle of the family room and said "walk to mommy" like we have done so many times before but this time Mason did just that!  He walked all the way across the family to get to his Mommy!  We all got so excited and started celebrating and then ran to get the camera so we could capture his first steps on video.  So it is official, at 1 year and 2 days old Mason started walking!
