Much Needed Vacation!

We are on Vacation and loving it! And you are probably wondering why I am blogging on vacation but we are justing hanging in the hotel room killing a little time so I figured why not! We flew in Tuscon, AZ on Thursday. We went to Sabino Canyon, which was beautiful. And I am still in shock at how big the cactus are, I had to idea. Friday we drove up to Phoenix and did some sight seeing.. tourist things of course! Then on Saturday we drove to Silver City, NM where we will be staying until Tuesday! We drove throw Texas Canyon on our way to Silver City! It is gorgeous here, mountains everywhere you turn. Today we drove down to Palomos, Mexico today and I was a little nervous I wasn't gonna be able to get back across the border! All you need is a driver's license and a birth certificate. Well mine don't match becuase of getting married and I never thought to bring my marriage certificate, but thankfully border patrol didn't care! Although when they asked my citizenship I said "Yes" and the guy looked at me like I was NUTS, the correct answer would have been United States, oops. On our way back to the hotel we stopped at St Clair Winery, have to pick up some of the local wine... even though I don't even like wine! And then best part of the day was when we went to The City of Rocks! Amazing!! Tons of giant rock formations formed long ago from a volcano eruption, we did lots of hiking and took over 70 pictures! And the weather ins't too bad either, we hit 75 today with lots of sun! Anyways, that is all for now, we are headed down to the hot tub! Sabino Canyon (above)

Big Day in the Berberena Household!

Well we have had a very interesting weekend. Saturday morning I put Colton in his crib so I could shower... I figure this is the safest place and I give him books so usually he is okay with it. Well yesterday he got out!! Yes the little escape artist got out of his crib. So today we spent the morning converting his crib into a toddler bed and making sure there is nothing dangerous in his room in case he gets out of his crib and decides to explore. We went this afternoon to buy a guard rail for his bed just becuase he tosses and turns so much when we sleeps I was afraid he would roll right out! So tonight will be the true challenge. Will he sleep in his new bed? We have been talking about it all day and about an hour ago he went and got his blankie and crawled up into his bed and layed down... but that only lasted a minute! Hopefully tonight it lasts much longer. I will keep you posted, and keep us in mind when you are getting a good night sleep tonight! I guess this just proves our baby is growing up! No more high chair, no more crib now if we can just get rid of the diapers!
We also got cool foam letters for the bath and he loves them! Actually he likes it when I stick them all up and he gets to rip them of the wall! Whatever entertains him I guess. And just in the past few days he started to smile when you ask him too! All you have to do is say " Show me your smiles" and this is what you get:
Cute huh, I am not sure why he squints his eyes but he does it everytime!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hope everyone has a Great Valentines Day!! No big plans for us, just hanging out together tonight and eating some Valentines candy! At work we got to pretend we were back in elememtry school and we all decorated brown bags in our team meeting yesterday morning. And then this morning we all passed out Valentines.. it was quite fun! Makes me want to be a kid again so I can do fun things like this everyday. Although everyone in the office is gonna be a sugar high and we may never get anything done. Oh well, who cares it's Valentines Day!!

Colton had to leap of the couch to get his balloon back... the good news no injuries, YET!!

GO GIANTS!

Well let me start by saying that I am happy the Giants won. We watched the game at my parents house and it was so much fun! I like watching a close game... especially when my brother is cheering for the other team. Other than the Superbowl not much going on around here. We decided on Saturday that we had enough of Colton's crazy hair and we buzzed it all off. His hair is so short now and it looks really good. He looks very clean cut and much older! He also discovered tonight that he can get into his toy box all by himself! But he doesn't fit in there with all the toys so as soon as he gets in he throws all of the toys out. Well he usually keeps one or two of his favorites in there so he has something to play with! Okay that is all I have for now... I know nothing too exciting we are leading a pretty boring life right now!
