I am a thirty-something year old mother to two amazing little boys! I am a busy body, I have a hard time just sitting at home doing nothing. I love to be on the go all the time. Actually I think sometimes I take on way too much and that is why I become run down and so tired but I never seem to learn my lessons. I just don't want to miss out on anything I guess.
In my free time I love to explore new things with my boys. We love doing anything and everything that involves the outdoors and nature. We spend most summer weekends at the lake (having a lake place owned by both sides of the family is awesome)! My oldest son is getting more and more into sports so we usually have some kind of practice or game to attend a couple days a week. So far he has tried swimming, gymnastics, wrestling, basketball, baseball, football, karate and cub scouts. Like I said I am usually very busy and I can only imagine what life will be like when both boys are playing sports! I also love to attend sporting events. I usually try to attend at least one Vikings game each year to as I am a huge Vikings fan and yes I am training the boys to be the same! I also enjoy attending MN Wild Hockey games with my cousin!
I love to take pictures... okay, I might be obsessed with taking pictures. Sometimes I need to remind myself to just put down the camera and live in the moment because I get too wrapped up in trying to get the "perfect shot" so that is will always be remember. I recently took the plunge and purchased a DSLR camera, Canon 70D which has spiked my interest in photography even more. I am taking some classes in hopes of learning how to use my camera and how to take amazing photos with a little less effort. I would love to someday make a living from photography but I know that right now that is only a dream... but dreams can come true right!?!
I work full time in the group benefits insurance field however I am blessed to be able to work from home which really helps with the work life balance. I can take time during the day to run Mason from daycare to school as well as attend any school activities that the boys have going on! Also I dont have to commute during those fun Minnesota snowstorms which is amazing!!
I love to travel and while I didn't do much of it for a while I have challenged myself to get out and travel a lot more. 2015 was a great travel year for me. I went to Dauphin Island, Alabama, New Orleans, Las Vegas and San Diego. Not to mention all the camping trips around Minnesota and Wisconson. Hoping 2016 is just as good of a travel year. So far I have tickets to Vegas booked for my cousins wedding and I am going to Chicago in the summer for a girls weekend!
My newest adventure is dating! Whoa. Never thought I would be hitting the dating scene in my mid 30's, especially not as a single mom. Life sure threw a curve ball with that one. But so far no complaints, I have met some great people and who knows maybe I will meet the one person who is my perfect match and we can take on this adventure called life together! Of course I have to think about more than just myself, if I meet a guy he needs to be willing to be a part of my boys life as well and that is a lot of pressure to find someone who I trust to be part of their lives, someone who will accept my boys as his own and treat them as part of the family even though they are not his kids.

So I think that pretty much sums up who I am and where I am in life in a few short paragraphs. If you want to know anything else just ask. Hope you enjoy my blog and please feel free to leave a comment every now and then so I know who is following our crazy life!
