Gardening Success!

I guess I am not as bad at this gardening thing as I thought I was gonna be... look at what we picked tonight!!

We picked some Cherry Tomatoes, Early Girl Tomatoes and Big Boy Tomatoes as well as Jalapenos, Anaheim Peppers and Serrano Peppers!!

Zoo Fun!

Thursday morning we headed out to the Minnesota Zoo with Grandma Yvonne. We wanted to see the Africa exhibit before it leaves the MN Zoo at the end of the month. It was a perfect day to be a the zoo and we had a blast. I could tell you all about it but I will let the pictures do the talking.

Go Gophers!

Colton and I went to our first Minnesota Gopher's game today and we had so much fun! Thank you Grandma Yvonne for the awesome tickets - we are gonna have a blast this season. Yvonne, Freddie and Isaac also went to the game today. The boys did really good - although I am pretty sure they enjoyed the popcorn more than they did the game! The new stadium is awesome and I can't wait to go to more games this fall! I still can't believe it is football season already!

Mr and Mrs Pedginski!!

The wedding was awesome!! The weather was perfect and everything and everyone looked awesome! I took so many pics while we were getting ready and then a ton more pictures during the dancing and keroke. I didn't take any of the entire bridal party because well I was in the pictures so it was had to take some on my own camera!! When Marissa gets the CD from the photographer I will post some pictures of the entire party and some of the Bride and Groom!! I had a great time at the wedding, although I still can't believe my little sister is married!

Black and White it is!

Okay I think by now we all know that I love taking pictures and every now and then I feel like I catch some pretty good ones. But then I go to Melissa's Blog and I see the most amazing shots, she is very talented! Well today we were playing out in the backyard and I deciced to try my hand at the not so typical photos. I always seem to try to take ones when Colton is looking right at the camera and smiling and realized that not every photo needs to be planned. I had a great time playing with the different settings on my camera (many of which I didn't even know existed)! But out of the pictures I took the Black and White ones all seemed to be my favorite today! Anyways here are just a few of my attempts, let me know what you think!

PS - Only 2 more days until my little sisters is a married woman! I am sure I will have plenty of opportunities to get the perfect shot... maybe Melissa can give me some lessons before Saturday!

My Little Outdoorsman!

Colton and I spent the weekend at the lake and despite all the rain and storms we had a great time! It was quite the wild life adventure over the past 2 days. Our Saturday morning started with a long walk jumping in every puddle along the way (it had stormed overnight)! Colton even pretended to be a Tree Frog on a fallen tree along our walk.
Then later that morning when the morning storm passed we decided it was time to go swimming when Colton spotted a frog!! Sharon (our campground neighbor) helped him catch it and then Colton and his new friend Skylar built the frog a new fort and even took it down the water slide a time or two. After about 20 minutes playing with frog they decided it was time to let him go!
Later that afternoon we decided to try our hand at fishing. Colton caught his first fish (all by himself)! He was so excited and so very proud! Of course we were only catching tiny little sunfish off the end of the dock but to Colton this was the best adventure ever!
After dinner Saturday our new campground friend Chippy came around and we got to watch him eat peanuts, corn on the cob and even my homemade Sugar Cookies! Colton thought it was so cool to see a little chipmunk so close to us... he would come within 3 feet of us. My dad says you can get him to eat of your hand but Colton was too loud so the little guy kept a little bit of a distance!
This morning Colton and I decided to do a little more fishing before we headed home. We caught a couple more little sunfish and then we caught a Bass! Colton was so excited to catch a different kind of fish, we had to run all the way up to the camper to show GamGam and PopPop!!
We had a great time this weekend, despite the rain and severe storms in the middle of the night last night (which of course never did hit us even though we were in the direct line of the storm). Here are two Videos from this weekend, hope you enjoy!

Completely worn out!!

I think the busy lifestyle that we have gotten used to this summer has finally caught up with Colton! I picked him up from school today, we came home turned on some Tom and Jerry and sat on the couch to relax a bit! I went into the kitchen to get dinner going and within 10 minutes he was out cold! He never falls asleep on the couch so I think he must have just been plain old worn out!

Also as an effort to get in better shape Colton and I have been going for long walks every night! We leave about 10 minutes after dinner and we walk for about an hour sometimes an hour and a half! Of course we have to make a stop at a park to play for a little bit! It is a great chance for me and Colton to just talk and hang out and a good way for both of us to burn off all the extra energy and stress from the day and let me tell you we both pass out pretty quick when our heads hit the pillow!

Go Twins!

We spent our Sunday afternoon at the Twins game! Thank you Heidi for getting us the tickets and the awesome parking right on the dome grounds. We went early so we could enjoy some of the pregame activities on the plaza. Colton loved the giant jumper, I am surprised he got out of it as willing as he did. Then we got some lunch - corn on the cob, giant turkey leg and lemonade slushy. Yummy! Then we headed inside to find our seats along the 3rd baseline and of course buy Colton some souvenirs (Frankie just can't say "NO" to his son). We had a blast watching the game even though our Twinkies didn't play too well today. Colton loved the game but I will say I think he enjoyed the vendors who walked up and down the row selling food even more. After eating some Fruit Snacks, Cinnamon Graham Crackers and raisins from my purse we had to buy some Cracker Jacks from the first vendor. Of course he really didn't want these when the next guy came buy selling dome dogs (which of course you have to have when you go the Dome). After eating the entire bun and about 5 bites of the dog I figured he was full... but no wait here comes the snow cone guy! Yes we got one of these too and Colton ate the entire thing! I think he was finally full and ready for a nap. We left at the top of the 8th inning (we were losing by 6 when we left and things only got worse) and by the time we hit the highway Colton was out cold! All in all it was a great afternoon, Thanks again Heidi!!
