Happy Halloween!

Another great Halloween has come and gone! Our Annual Pumpkin Carving party was a success again this year. Colton stayed up until midnight enjoying the party and of course we all had plenty to eat and drink (well I didn't have any drinks but some others drank enough for several people - I won't mention any names) and plenty of pumpkins were carved!! Then tonight we went over my parents to watch the Vikings lose again, carve the remaining pumpkins and then go trick-or-treating. Colton ran from house to house getting more and more excited with every piece of candy that was dropped into his bucket! After making it once around the circle his bucket was full and we were back home relaxing and eating pumpkin pie! Hope everyone else had a very Happy Halloween as well.

Halloween Treats

We decided to make the Halloween Treats for our Pumpkin Carving Party this year instead of buying store made cupcakes! We had so much fun making the treats (and taste testing them along the way). Only 3 more days until Party Time, hope you will be there!!

25 Weeks Pregnant

I still can't believe I am 25 weeks pregnant already - just over 3 months to go! It seems like the pregnancy is flying by (I guess it doesn't help that I spent 7 weeks sick and in bed just trying to sleep each day away). Anyways, things are going great at this point! I am really starting to get my energy back and the nesting is already kicking in (loving it, my house might actually be clean for a change). We are almost done preparing Colton's new room - trim and new doors are being installed tomorrow, a big THANKS to my dad for that help and hopefully we can move him into his new BIG BOY room the first week of November. Then I have about a month to get the baby's room cleaned and organized before we bring back the crib, changing table and rocking chair! I had my gestational diabetes test on Monday and the results came back within the normal range but they were on the high end of normal so I will be retaking the test in 5 weeks just to make sure everything is okay. My blood pressure was also quite high when I first got to my appointment but after laying down for just a few minutes it dropped back down very quickly so my doctor said I have nothing to worry about (still scares me but hopefully it was just becuase I rushed from work to home to the doctor and nothing more than that). Other than that things are going great, the baby's heartrate was 144 and of course had the hiccups during the appointment - this baby always seems to have the hiccups which is something I don't think I ever experienced with Colton or maybe I just didn't know that is what it was. As for weight I am still down 5 pounds from my initial 5 week visit, I am guessing by my next appointment we will be talking about weight gain instead of weight loss!! Okay that is all for now.
Here is me at 24 weeks Pregnant:

Baby Berberena

We had our ultrasound on Thursday! It was so awesome to see our baby moving around and to hear that everything looks great. The baby was sitting straight up and down with his/her face right behind my belly button so it has kinda hard to get good images of the face and pretty much impossible to see its feet as it was sitting on top of them and I am carrying very low!! So needless to say this one is already being difficult (no surprise there I guess). I was 22 weeks 4 days at my ultrasound appointment and the baby measured to be about 1 pound 7 ounces. Doesn't that seem crazy that they can figure that out already! Also per the measurements of the baby and its organs my due date is Jan 29th (only one day sooner than we have been thinking this entire time) so it looks like late Janaury is when this one will be making his/her arrival!! Otherwise I am feeling great, energy is slowly starting to come back to me as is the weight! I am still down 14 pounds from my initial 5 week check up but I am sure I will be gaining that back quickly! Okay here are some ultrasound pictures as well as my first belly picture (taken at 20 weeks). I plan to do a belly pic every 2 weeks - although I missed week 22 so I will be doing one tomorrow at 23 weeks!
