Yum, Yum, Yum!

Mason finally has a tooth (well actually two of them but the second one is just starting to pop through). Anyways, we figure one tooth was enough of an accomplishment and it is time to start eating some real food... that baby food just isn't fun!! So far he has enjoyed banana's, pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes (mashed and french fries), and sugar cookies!! The kid loves to eat - just like his momma. His first tooth actually popped through on August 25th but it has taken me this long to finally get a picture of it!

Go Gophers!

Colton and I spent our Saturday tailgaiting and cheering the Minnesota Gopher's to a win We shared our fun with Uncle Adam and his friend Justin as well. This was Colton's first official Gopher Game (he went to a scrimmage two years ago) and he loved it. We spent the 3 hours before the game tailgaiting and Colton had a great time eating, playing bean bags and following the marching band around the lot. We headed over to the plaza a little early for some Face Painting and other fun activities. Finally we headed into TCF Bank Stadium to find our seats. The view from our seats was awesome, 4th row in the endzone!! Colton was quite the little fan - cheering, dancing, yelling and high fiving other fans around us the entire game. And to my surprise he made it all the way through the game with only have to get up twice - once in the 1st quarter to get a drink and then at half time just to stretch his legs. Colton is quickly becoming my little football buddy that is for sure! I really enjoyed spending an entire day with my little man, we don't get a lot of just Mommy-Colton time anymore so this was a very special day for me. We had an awesome time, thank you Grandma Yvonne for letting us use your tickets.

Wolf Family Reunion

Sunday we spent the afternoon at Antler's Park in Lakeville for the Wolf Family Reunion. We have a great time visiting with family, playing yard games, running back and forth to the playground and of course just enjoying great company. Grandma and Grandpa Peterson are in town from Vegas for the reunion so we took full advantage and did some family pictures while we were all together (Thank you Melissa, they turned out awesome)!

Beth had the magic touch or Mason just loves his cousin that much!

Zirbes Family Get Together

We decided that getting together at Christmas just isn't enough so we started a new tradition of a Summer Get Together and it was awesome. We invited the extended family as well which was fun as some of them we have not seen in quite a long time. It was great to catch up with everyone. We enjoyed a pot luck lunch, some games and even a little swimming (who would have thought we would hit 90 degrees the second weekend in September) but most of all good company.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Well it is official, my son is in school! Parents were invited to stay for the first hour of school and help with a family tree art project and enjoy storytime. It was fun and oh so hard at the same time.... I am still having a hard time believing that he is old enough to be in school. Colton was also very excited to find out that his friend Graham who was in his class at Kinder Care is also in his Kindergarten class!

It went by so quickly....

Colton, it seems like just yesterday that we brought you home and now here we are on the day you start Kindergarten. It was been an amazing trip so far and we can't wait to see where the journey takes us next. You were an wonderful baby, an awesome toddler and now you are a very independent and outgoing kid. When I am away from you I miss you - even if it has only been an hour - when I am with you I want to do everything I can to make sure you are happy. I know you are growing up but to me you will always be my baby. I couldn't imagine my life without you - you are my world, my everything, my son. I love you Colton Riley!
