Merry Christmas Everyone

We had a busy week with 4 different Christmas Celebrations. We spend last Saturday morning at Grandma Yvonnes House for our annual Christmas Cookie Bake (and if you want to see pictures to go Melissa's Blog because she posted them right away, I have been slacking)! Saturday afternooon was spent with the Zirbes Family. Sunday morning we headed to the the farm for Christmas with the Sands. Christmas Eve we went to Yvonne's house for Christmas with Frankie's side. Christmas morning we spent at home opening presents and going for a snowmobile ride. Christmas afternoon we went to my parents house for some sleddding, snowman making and of course more presents. We are gonna end our Crazy Christmas week by going skating in Rice Park tonight. I took over 300 pictures ( I know I need help) so here are just a few of my favorites.

We Love Snow!!

Colton has been asking to go play out in the snow all week but with the temperatures being subzero (with windchills) we kept telling him no. Well it warmed up this weekend and we finally got to spend some time playing outside! He dug out his trucks and did a little snow plowing, he also spent some time on his slide (and sent all of his toys down the slide) and of course we made plenty of snow angels!! We also ate some snow because you can't play outside without eating snow and Colton was very careful not to eat any yellow snow!

Today we spent the afternoon watching our Vikings put another one in the win column! Colton loves to watch football with us and he even seems to understand the concept of the game, he cheers when things are going good and he gets mad when they aren't (we are creating a football monster). By the end of the game Colton was struggleing to keep his eyes open so he crawled up on the couch with his blanket and he was out cold within about 2 minutes! He is now napping so I am off to wrap present, I love this time of year!

I just had to add these next couple of pics - my mom took them today! Colton spends Mondays with his Grandma Lori and this is what she let's him do!!

Santa, Reindeer and Grave Digger all in one day!!

Saturday morning we headed over to Gerten's Greenhouse to meet Santa. He was there with Mrs Clause, Dasher and Comet! We waited about an hour in line to meet Santa and it was totally worth it. Once it was our turn Colton ran right up to Santa, gave him a big hug and proceeded to tell him what he wanted for Christmas. After chatting with Santa and taking some pics we headed outside to take a ride in Santa's sleigh. Colton though it was pretty cool to get to go for a ride in a sleigh pulled by Santa's Reindeer!
Saturday afternoon we came home and took long naps so we would be ready for Monster Jam at the Metrodome that night. We rode the lightrail downtown, which Colton thought was pretty awesome and got to our 2nd row seats just in time for the show to start. The show was great. Colton spent most of his time cheering and laughing and snacking (Snow Cones and Dome Dogs) and covering his ears from the noise. The last event of the night was Grave Digger's Freestyle attempt. We had been waiting all night to see Grave Digger go over the big jumps, but after only 30 seconds on the course he flipped over and broke something in his truck and was unable to complete his run. Colton was crushed. He kept saying "Grave Digger is sad that he doesn't get another turn"! About ten minutes after the show ended, after coats were one and we were about to leave, he totally broke down and start bawling. He seriously was so sad. We even went and bought him a stuffed Grave Digger to make things better but it only lasted about one minute and then we was back to extreme crying. I felt so bad for him, I think he experienced his first heartbreak that night. But after lots of convincing he is now coping with the crash and even says he wants to go see Grave Digger again someday. Okay here are just a few pics from Monster Jam!
