The Marthaler Kids

I had the honor of taking pictures of my cousins beautiful kids recently and while I was nervous about the shoot I was also very excited.  She has 3 kids, a beautiful 2 1/2 year old little girl and twin 6 month old boys!  Yup, I was going to have my work cut out for me, well at least I thought I was but the shoot went awesome.  The boys did quite well considering it was pretty warm outside and we were taking pictures and changing outfits quite often!  And Braelyn was such a little charmer, she was all smiles and loved being in front of the camera. Summer full of Monday Night Feasts

So being married to chef definitely has its perks!  We eat some pretty amazing food at our house (unless it was my turn to make dinner, then it is normal everyday food)!!  We have decided to start a new tradition this summer - Monday Night Feasts!  The last two Mondays we have made rotisserie pork loin, roasted potatoes, corn on the cob, scallop potatoes, coleslaw, cake, pork and beans and all the rest of the fixings!  We loving having people over for BBQ's and these last two Mondays we were not let down as my parents, my mother in law, my sister, brother and brother in law have joined us and no one went home hungry that is for sure!  We are hoping to keep this tradition going all summer long.... take a break from the stress of life and enjoy a meal with family and friends!  If anyone would like to join us just let me know... we would love to have you over!  I look forward to whatever it might be that Frankie has in mind for our next Monday Night Feast! 

Miss Ilia - 3 Months Old

I had the pleasure of taking Ilia's 3 Month photos.  She is such a cutie that it is tough to not get a great picture with every snap!  I love working with her (and her mom who just lets me do whatever I want with her beautiful little girl).  I already have list of ideas ready to go for her 6 Month photo shoot later this summer!  Here are a few of my favorites of Miss Ilia.

Two of a Kind

I never really thought my boys looked alike but this picture proves that they do!  Also shows that Colton was much bigger than Mason as they are both wearing the same pair of 2T jammies but Colton was 19 months in his picture and Mason was 29 months in his!!  Love these boys... also realize that I need to start labeling their baby pics or I will never know who is in the picture! 

Happy 7th Birthday Colton!

How did my baby grow up so fast?  It seems like we just brought him home from the hospital, just watched him take his first steps, just heard his first words, just took him on his first bike ride/vacation/airplane ride, just dropped him off at his first day of daycare/preschool/elementary school, just watched his first sports game!  Now we have an independent, caring, fun, outgoing, loving and awesome 7 year old!  He is the best kid we could ask for (don't get me wrong, we have our moments but none the less he is the best)!  We are looking forward to watching him continue to grow and find his own personality but at the same time wish we could just freeze time for a while as he is growing up way too fast and we want to just enjoy every moment of this age and time of his life.  Happy 7th Birthday Colton, we love you so much!

  He is grow so much over the past 7 years and I think what I love most about him is how awesome of a big brother he is!  He is protective, loving, caring and always teaching his little brother and it makes me so incredibly proud!  

Pump it Up Party

Colton celebrated his 7th Birthday with all his cousins and friends at Pump it Up Friday night!  We help his party at the same place last year and when he requested it again this year I jumped all over the idea (they do all the work, they clean up, they watch 15 crazy kids and I just get to sit back and enjoy and play in the inflatables with my boys)!  The party was a big success - the kids had a blast running, jumping, playing and sweating on the giant inflatables for an hour and half and then we moved to the party room for cake and ice cream and presents!  By the time we got home we were all exhausted and ready for bed.  Another awesome birthday party is complete, thank you to everyone who celebrated with us!!

We did plenty of sliding during the party - was exhausted from climbing up that slide so many times!  There was something fun for everyone in the bounce rooms...  fun for the very young like my beautiful nephew Tyce to the young at heart like my awesome brother in law!!

As we all know this Spring was a rough one this year... well actually, it didn't really exist!  We were very late to get our flowers planted this year because it was snowing in early May still and then it seemed to be freezing or raining everyday the rest of the month.  We were able to finally get our flowers planted after Memorial Weekend... we got home from work/school one night and it seemed like there was a break in the rain so the boys and I ran outside and got to work!  The boys loved digging in the dirt and planting their flowers.  I just sat back and watched and snapped pictures!  I love this time of year.... and now that Summer seems to have finally arrived we are even more excited.
