The weather was perfect this last weekend and we did our best to enjoy it! Friday night Frankie and I enjoyed a kid free evening out with adults... that rarely happens. We went to Toby's Keith's Bar and enjoyed dinner and some drinks on the Patio to celebrate Frankie turning the big 3-0! Saturday we just hung around the house, playing in the pool, riding bikes, having a water gun fight and enjoying a bon fire where June bugs continually flew through the fire to their death which Colton thought was quite entertaining (they really are dumb insects)! We spent Sunday morning at Urgent care with Mason - he was so congested he could hardly breathe which made Saturday night quite a long night but the doctor said it was just a viral infection and needs to run its course so we didn't let it interfere with our Sunday plans. We spent 5 hours at the MN Zoo with Grandma Yvonne, Uncle Freddie, Auntie Melissa and cousins Jaxx and Isaac. We spent the first part seeing the animals and enjoying lunch and then it was time for the splash pad! It was so much fun to watch the kids running and playing together. It was a great weekend full of time with my kids... what more could I ask for?!?!
Gah! I love Mason's little plaid overalls. Overalls on little baby boys just do me in, can't resist. (Those and jammies, of course, which you know I have quite the soft spot for.)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend, minus the little guy's sickness. Poor thing, there is nothing worse than a baby with a stuffy nose cold. Always makes me so sad seeing Gus struggle to breath out of his nose.
Happy Birthday Frankie! Sorry we couldn't make it out to the bar that night, we had plans Saturday night so getting another babysitter for Friday would have been difficult, and of course I would have had the mom-guilt for ditching my kid two nights in a row. ;)
Looks like you had a fabulous weekend! Happy birthday to Frankie! We will try and make it out next time, for sure! And poor little Mason - I hate when kids get sick, makes me so sad :(
ReplyDeleteQuestion - did you seriously post a picture of tortoises gettin' it on? This is great...
