What is world is that white stuff?
Well the first snowfall has come and gone already.... Thankfully! We only picked up about 2 inches on November 19th but that was enough for Colton so be so excited that we had to rush to Target to get new winter boots so he could go out and play! Of course we couldn't let him play alone so Mason and I headed out to enjoy the white stuff as well. Mason was a little confused by the fact that everything turned white and then he face planted into the snow and that quickly ended our fun (poor kid)! I am sure we have plenty more snowfalls to come and I usually love snow but this first round came a little too early and I am glad that it was quickly gone!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
We were debating whether or not to put up our tree this year being as Mason is crawling and we feared he would spend most of his free time trying to take it down, but in the end we knew we had to have a Christmas tree. I must admit I am so glad that we did... there is nothing better than sitting in a dark family room with our Christmas tree glowing in the corner reminding us of this wonderful season! Besides, where would Santa put all of our presents if we didn't have a tree? Colton was once again a huge help putting up the tree. Mason on the other hand took a 3 hour nap and missed all of the fun (which is probably why it went so smoothly)! We couldn't wait to take Mason downstairs and show him his first Christmas tree and see what his reaction was, well let me know tell you it was pretty disappointing! He looked at the tree for about a minute and then he was off to his toys and never looked back at the giant green thing in the corner. I guess this isn't going to be as tough as we had predicted. Now that the tree is up we need to put up the rest of our Christmas decorations and then get some presents wrapped and placed under the tree... only 28 more days until Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving
I have so much to be Thankful for this year, I won't even make the list. This was Mason's first Thanksgiving which made it extra special and it was perfect, we were surrounded by family and truly that is all we could ask for. We spent the day at my mother-in-laws house along with Frankie's cousin Jaclyn, my parents and my brother. We enjoyed the traditional Thanksgiving feast (yum, by far my favorite meal ever), we played some cards and we memorized the black Friday ads! I am very blessed and days like this remind of just that. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I love Coupons!
I think by now most of you know that my obsession with coupons might be a getting a little out of control! I must admit I like to shop but with tuition, daycare and sports for the boys we don't have a lot of "extra" money so if I want to shop then coupon clipping it is and now that I have gotten the hang of it I must admit I am addicted! I feel bad buying groceries without coupons or going shopping on a day that is not a "Double Coupon" day. Seriously I may need therapy soon. Well anyways this past Saturday I think I may have outdone myself. It was "double double days" at Rainbow foods so I read the ads to find what was on sale and found my corresponding coupons (I know this sounds really sad but finding great deals is like a high for me), I packed up Mason and off to the store we went. He has become my little shopping buddy... Colton on the other hand doesn't think coupon shopping is as exciting as it takes me forever sometimes to find the right items! Anyways, I found all my items and got in line to check out.... just for the record the lines are beyond nuts on double coupon day (especially before a big holiday). As I am waiting in line I start to get nervous... did I grab all the right items, do I have all my coupons, what if they won't let me double my coupons (The alfredo pasta was on sale for $1.99 and my coupon was for $1 off so if they double that I would get $2 off which is more that the price of the item - guess what it worked, they paid me a penny to take the item out of the store)... seriously like I said it is a high for me!
Checkout complete....
Total Items: 14
Total Price before in store deals and my coupons: $45.67
My Final Price: $15.67 (plus a coupon for a free gallon of milk for buying 6 Kelloggs items)
Seriously you cannot beat a deal like that! Ugg, makes me want to go home and set up my next shopping trip! You can make fun if you want - my family does - but I don't care I LOVE COUPONS and I am not afraid to admit it!
