Goodbye Silver Maple

On Tuesday we said goodbye to the Giant Silver Maple tree in our front yard. She had provided shade for those hot summer pool days, held the pinatas for Colton's Birthday Parties, provided more leaf piles that we could have ever asked for and caused some issues with our pipes. We loved her but becuase of the last reason the city told us she had to come down. I was home with Mason on Tuesday (becuase he has been quite sick) so we watched with broken hearts as they cut her down branch by branch. We plan to plant a new tree next Spring but our giant silver maple will never be replaced!
