Saturday Night under the Lights

Crisp fall air, bright stadium lights, football, mini donuts and my favorite little guys.... nothing better!  Saturday night Colton and I went to the Gopher game with my brother-in-law Freddie and my nephew Isaac. We arrived a couple hours early and enjoyed some of the fun activities on the plaza.  Then it was into the stadium to grab dinner (nothing better than stadium hot dogs and personal pan pizzas).  Our seats are second row in the end zone and the kickers were warming up when we got to our seats... the boys had a blast catching the footballs as they rolled down the net.  Finally it was kickoff time and it was a chilly Minnesota fall night, perfect for football.  The boys did great throughout the game and to my surprise they lasted the entire game (well we left about 3 minutes early to try to beat the crowds - we were not successful)!  We had a great time and the Gophers are now 4-0 which made the night even sweeter!

I was lucky enough to go to the Gopher Game with my mother in law and both my boys today!  I will admit I was nervous about bringing a 19 month old to a football game but he did awesome (better than his big brother to tell you the truth)!  We decided to skip tailgating with the little ones but still arrived about an hour and half early so we could take part in all the fun activities on the plaza.  Colton got his face painted and then we watched the marching band perform which Mason loved.  Once in the stadium we got some food (pizza and hamburgers) and found our seats!  It was a beautiful Minnesota fall day... but sitting 2nd row in the endzone with the sun beating down on us did heat things up a bit.  The boys decided to eat their way through the first half with mini donuts and snowcones.  At half time the score was 21-10 and Mason was ready for a nap and Colton said he needed to walk so we decided to leave before any meltdowns occurred.  It was a fun morning and I look forward to next weekend when Colton and I get to go to the evening game with my Brother-in-law and my nephew!   Go Gophers Go! 

Miss Marley

1st Grade

Hard to believe it but my baby is already a First Grader.  He was very excited about his first day of school and was even more excited when he got home because he learned that he gets to take Spanish class every other day!  He is growing up so fast, there are many days I just wish I could freeze time and soak in this stage a little more cause I know it is going to by just as fast as the past 6 years have gone.  Here are a couple pics of Colton on his first day of 1st Grade!
