My life in pictures!

So I take more pictures than I know what to do with most of the time.  Some get sent via text to friends or family members, some make their way onto social media but many times they are just lost pictures that never leave my phone.  I think it might be fun to do a post like this every couple months of those fun pictures/moments that don't require a lengthy post to explain them but they are too cute not to share and have as a memory to look back at years from now. So here it goes, here is my life in pictures for the last month!

We can't get enough snuggles with Baby Easton!

A fun playdate at a friends house - this is what happens when a bunch of college roommates grow up, get married and start families but still want to hang out together!  We have playdates that include all 13 of our kids!
A fun night at the park with my boys, I love and cherish these fun nights!
Snuggles with my babies - nothing better in life that I can promise!

Yard work - ugg, it isn't fun but someone has to do it!
He wanted a piece of cake with the biggest frosting flower... and I can't say NO to him so here it is!
We have a trampoline!  The boys love it and I have to admit I have just as much fun bouncing as they do (and it is a great work out, bonus)!
He came to the table for his bedtime snack with these awesome glasses on and insisted he needed to wear them to be able to see everything!  He is too funny.  These glasses actually belong to his Teddy Bear!
Garden is planted, hoping for a bountiful crop this year so we have plenty to share with family and friends!

When the Spring weather turns cold we head to the gym for a great workout and then unwind for an hour in the pool!  Love these two little guys so much - how can you not, look at those smiles!

Wild Hockey

I have always been a hockey fan however this year my love for the sport reached a new level.  My cousin invited me to a game a couple months back and it reminded me just how much I love the sport.  And my boys have both been trained to love the sport too being as Grandma has season tickets for the MN Gopher Hockey games.  So this winter there were many nights that the boys and I would make our bowl of popcorn, grab our blankets and snuggle on up the couch to watch some Wild Hockey!   And then we made the playoffs and things got even more exciting.   I spent late nights screaming at the TV, sometimes all by myself and sometimes with some friends/family members and delicious game day food!  My cousin again invited me to go to a game with him, my first playoff game. It was amazing!  So none the less I think we have found our new favorite sport to watch together.  And Mason is even asking if he can play hockey, so we will have to see where that leads us.  I never thought I would be a hockey mom but who am I to tell him he can't play it!

Our game day faces!!  Yah, we are intimidating!

What Happens in Vegas....

What happens in Vegas goes on the blog!  Well maybe not!  But I do want to share some pictures and memories from an amazing trip.  Last January I sent a message to a group of girlfriends stating I was in need of a girls weekend asap and not just at someones house but a real get away, like maybe Vegas!  Within 24 hours I had 4 friends respond that they were in.  We booked flights and a hotel and the first weekend in May we spent a a couple days in Las Vegas!  I am not going to give all details of the weekend but I will say that the weekend was amazing. I spent time with some of best friends a girl could ever hope for.  I laughed more than I ever imagined I would.  I was able to let go of all stress and problems currently in my life and just enjoy living in the moment for a few day and it was exactly what I was needing.  We flew out late Thursday night, arrived in Vegas around 12:30 am (which is 2:30 am here), we got our rental car, found our hotel and decided that we couldn't just go to sleep so we headed down to Fremont Street to find something to eat (and a drink).  We ended up at Denny's and after some food and drinks we headed back to the room and were sleeping around 4am (again 6am back home, so many of us had been up for 24 hours)!  We didn't sleep in Friday, too much to do and see to waste time sleeping.  Angela and I headed out to tour the Hoover Dam while the other 3 headed to the pool for the day.   Hoover Dam was amazing.  I have been there a couple times before but had the boys with me so I didn't do the tour which I would recommend to anyone who has the chance to do it, so cool to go down into the dam.   We of course drove across to Arizona so Angela could say she had been to that state and then we went up to the high bridge to get some amazing views looking back at the dam.  After a long day hiking around at Hoover Dam we headed back to the hotel to get ready to go out for the night.  We spent Friday night on Fremont Street with some new friends the girls has met in the pool.  It was an eventful night and another late one, it was about 2am when we finally crawled into bed.  Saturday I decided I wanted a day poolside too so we headed to the pool for the morning/afternoon! We enjoyed many drinks and laughs poolside.  Such a fun and relaxing day.  The weather was amazing, 95 degrees both days!  Saturday night we headed to the Strip to take in some of the tourist spots such as the Bellagio Dancing water fountains and the Volcano at The Mirage.  Then we stopped at Cesar's Palace for a late night snack.    Two of the girls headed back to the hotel around 11pm while the other three of us headed to The Tryst nightclub at the Wynn.  We were invited by some friends to join them at their VIP table.  It was amazing!  We drank and danced the night away and it is a night I won't forget anytime soon, I mean how often do you get to go to club VIP.  No waiting in line to get in, no $50 cover charge for us, no charge for drinks at all... just relax, dance and have a great time!  We got back to the hotel around 4:30 to try to get in a few hours of sleep.  Sunday morning we packed up our room and brought our luggage to the hotel to store for us so we could go have a little more fun.  We enjoyed breakfast, a little gambling and went Ziplining over Fremont street- we soared across 4 city blocks as speeds of up to 35 miles per hour.  I enjoyed one last Corona before we picked up our luggage and headed to the airport.  We were back in Minnesota just after midnight and ready to get back to our normal lives.

I cannot thank my friends enough for going with me on this trip.  I spent three days in Vegas, slept a total of only 13 hours in three nights and have memories that I will never forget.  This trip is exactly what I needed at a point in my life where I am not always sure what the next day will bring.  This trip helped me to let go of the past, stop planning so much for the future and reminded me to just live in the moment and truly cherish all the amazing people I have in my life.  Life is short, enjoy it friends!!
