We decided to go to see the Holidazzle Parade last night and I am so happy we did! I have never seen it before and I must say it was pretty cool! We headed downtown early to avoid some of the traffic and enjoyed some appetizers at The Hard Rock Cafe and then headed over to Nicolett Mall to see the parade. It was a pretty warm night although the wind did seem to whip right down Nicolett Avenue. Even with the wind we had a great time, Colton got more and more and excited with every float that went by.
Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes their way.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We enjoyed a very relaxing Thanksgiving with family. We enjoyed lots of amazing food (turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, stuffing, cranberries - Yummy), pumpkin pie, train dominoes and football! It was a great day!

We are officially ready for Christmas...
Yup that is right we put up our Christmas Tree last night!! This is the earliest we have ever put our tree up but that is okay with me. I figured why not right, we were all home last night so we ordered in some pizza and wings (yes Colton loves hot wings which is not good, now I have to share with him) and then we put up the tree! Colton was actually quite helpful this year - he hung most of the ornaments himself although I did have to sneak a few so we didn't just have them on the bottom half of our tree! We still have a few more Christmas decorations to put out and we still have to set up our giant Christmas Village but I think that might wait until next week - it takes a couple hours to set that thing up!!

First Snowfall and Monster Jam
Saturday morning I woke up to Colton yelling "There is snow in the backyard and the front yard and it is not melting"! Then he ran back up stairs to let the dog out and look at the snow again, came back to my bedroom and yelled "Mom, can you please get up, get me dressed, feed me lunch and then let me go play in the snow?". Mind you it was about 8:15 in the morning. He was very excited for this years first snow fall and after about an hour out playing in it he was just as ready to come back in and enjoy a mug of hot chocolate and some brownie cookies!!
Saturday night we brave the roads (which were pretty good actually) and headed downtown for our annual Monster Jam show and we had a blast! Grave Digger of course won it all that night - which made Colton the happiest kid ever (unlike last year)!! Here are just a few pics from the night!

Future Deer Hunter
Colton was very sad that he didn't get to go hunting with Frankie last weekend. They spent Friday night cleaning the gun and playing with the deer calls and then when it was time for Frankie to leave Colton cried becuase he wanted to go hunting too, I guess he wasn't excited about spending the weekend shopping with Mommy! Well when Frankie came home on Sunday with a deer Colton was back to the happiest kid ever! It is pretty much all he has talked about this week - he even told his teacher about the deer in his garage and she asked to see a picture so we had to take a picture of him and the deer head so he could bring it to school! He is also all about helping cut up the meat and get it ready for jerky (which is what has been happening at our house for the last 24 hours) - I just try to stay out of the way!

Colton's New Big Boy Sports Room
Colton is all moved into his new room! He is so excited to sleep in there tonight, I doubt we will have any issues at bedtime (not that we ever do anyways). We have been working on his room for well over a month - first we had to clean all of our junk out of it, we removed all doors and trim, we painted, my dad installed new closet doors, trim and bedroom door, we had to buy a new rug and get the curtains hung and finally it was ready for him to move in! The only thing we still need to get him is a new dresser as his current one will be staying in the baby's room. And now that he is completely moved over we can start preparing the baby's room and get the crib back and set up over the next month. We are only 12 weeks away from baby's due date so I think we are doing okay for time but with the holidays right around the corner the 12 weeks are gonna fly by very fast I am sure. Here are some pics of before, during and after our project called "Create Colton a New Room".

My Little Fish
Colton has always loved the water and has always thought he was a better swimmer than he actually was! So in June we enrolled him in Swimming Lessons and he is doing awesome. He started in Littles 1 and after Summer Session he moved to the next level. After the first day of Fall Session he moved from Littles 2 right up to Littles 3 - they knew after one day that he would be bored if they didn't move him up another level. Today he had his testing and has again passed and will be in Littles 4 for Winter Session. It amazes me how much he has picked up in such a short period of time, I am really starting to think the kid has gills and fins!! Here are few pics from today's lesson and even a video just to show you how good he can swim .
Here is the video from today's lesson:
