Traditions

There are a couple traditions that we have started that help kick off the holiday season. The first is that we pack a couple boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  The boys love to go to the store with me and pick out toys, toiletries and of course some candy/treats.  Colton fully understands the meaning of this tradition and Mason is quickly catching on to how special these boxes will be to a boy thousands of miles away who maybe wouldn't have gotten a Christmas Present otherwise. I plan to continue this tradition for many of years to come, it isn't something huge but hopefully it will put a smile on two other children somewhere in the world.

Another fun tradition we have started is painting Christmas Ornaments. This was our second annual Ornament Painting Class and it was so much fun.  It is always fun to get together with friends and challenge ourselves and our artistic abilities (which I really have none)!  This year the artist decided to have us paint two ornaments because one of them was so easy, so she thought!  The ornaments all turned out great even with all the complaining we did during out the class!  Looking forward to continuing this tradition for years to come as well however I may need to get a second Christmas tree in order to hold all these ornaments!
